The following are highlights of our core beliefs…
We Believe… that the Bible is the Word of God. Every word of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments is verbally inspired and therefore without any error when originally given by God and recorded by man. We also believe that God supernaturally preserved copies of the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts to provide for us today a Bible that can be completely trusted and followed.
We Believe… the One True God exists in three persons – the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.
We Believe… the Lord Jesus Christ has always existed. He is God, but submitted to His Heavenly Father in coming to earth to be born of a virgin, live a sinless life, and die in our place. Three days later He resurrected from the dead, 40 days after that He arose to Heaven, and now He ministers there on our behalf. Some day, Jesus will briefly come back to earth to transport all New Testament Christians to Heaven. Seven years later, He will return to earth to rule and reign for 1000 years with both New and Old Testament believers.
We Believe… the Holy Spirit is a distinct person from the Father and the Son, and yet totally God. He takes residence in Christians’ hearts at the moment of salvation, and fills them with power to enable them to live a life honoring to the Father, and glorifying to Jesus Christ.
We Believe… that God directly created man in His image. When the first man fell into sin, that resulted in his spiritual death and the spiritual death of all his descendants. That necessitates the “new birth” in Christ as man’s only hope of salvation.
We Believe… Salvation is by God’s grace, alone, and is complete and eternal. It is received through personal faith in Jesus Christ.
